Walden University
Walden University was founded by two New York teachers in 1970, with the intent to provide doctoral degrees to working adults. Walden is a private, for-profit university headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a distance learning institute and does not have any campus-based classes.

Walden University has five colleges which offer degree programs; the Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership, College of Management and Technology, College of Health Sciences, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Center for Undergraduate Studies.
Through the various departments, there are many degrees to choose from. Students interested in the field of applied psychology have several options through the School of Psychology including a Ph.D. in Psychology, M.S. in Forensic Psychology, M.S. in Psychology, B.S. in Psychology, Psychology Certificates and several individual courses.
The certificate programs in psychology consist of a specialized learning certificate in one of the following options: Clinical Child Psychology, Teaching Online and Organizational Psychology and Development. A Respecialization Certificate can also be obtained from one of the following specializations: Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, General Psychology, Health Psychology and Organizational Psychology.
Walden offers all of its degrees online. The Walden online classroom consists of flexible class times that are convenient for students, weekly discussion topics, required readings and assignments. Students also have access to support services including writing, research and technical assistance and options to learn online, offline or on the go with MobileLearnSM.
Walden belongs to the Laureate International University network, a global network of accredited online and campus-based institutions.
