The Chicago School uses an approach to teaching known as “The Chicago Model of Education”. Unlike the previous two training models, the Boulder and Vail Models, the Chicago Model introduces “a commitment to community engagement and social change at the systems-level”. This model doesn’t limit students to research or traditional clinical practice but allows them to be engaged.

For students seeking a degree in applied psychology, Chicago School has a lot to offer. Program offerings include Applied Behavior Analysis, Industrial Organizational and Business Psychology and School Psychology. There are also graduate programs in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology and Forensic Psychology.

The Chicago School also has online-blended programs that allow busy students to get an education with as little sacrifice as possible. Many of the programs are taught mainly online with a small portion of the program requiring a one or two-hour session where all students are online together. There are also programs that combine both online and on-campus learning.

Some of the available online-blended degree programs include a Ph.D. in International Psychology, Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, M.A. Forensic Psychology and M.A. in Psychology with various concentrations to choose from. There are also four certificate programs available.

All Chicago Schools are accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. The school has been twice recognized for contributions in the area of diversity and outstanding advocacy for the field of psychology. The Chicago School is now considered one of the largest nonprofit professional psychology schools in the nation.
