Spa Tech Institute
Spa Tech Institute is a career school that was founded in 1976 as Headhunter II School of Hair Design, Inc. It later became known as Headhunter Institute and now Spa Tech Institute. Spa Tech professionally trains students in massage, aesthetics, polarity and cosmetology. Spa Tech currently has five locations in Maine and Massachusetts including, Portland, Westbrook, Ipswich, Westboro and Plymouth.

Spa Tech offers programs in therapeutic massage, polarity therapy, esthetics skin care, cosmetology and beauty. Some of the offering of an education at Spa Tech include a flexible class schedule with day, evening, and half-day classes and mother’s hour’s programs. There are programs that last anywhere from three to 18 months – getting you to your career path in a timely manner.
In addition to the programs offered at Spa Tech, there are also Continuing Education programs available. Some of these programs include ARYSE Advanced Energy Work, Massage CEU including Foot Reflexology, Advanced Deep Tissue, Intro Swedish Massage and Hot Rock Massage, Intro to Polarity and Science and Anatomy and Physiology CEU Classes. A Student Clinic helps provide experience and confidence in students while also providing a client base before graduation.
The curriculum and content taught at Spa Tech are from leading curriculum developers in the field including Polarity Realization Institution and Pivot Point International. The skills students achieve while at Spa Tech can be useful in spas, salons, clinics and health club settings and in private practice. The instructors at Spa Tech not only teach the various programs but they themselves are therapists, stylists, teachers and bodywork, salon and spa entrepreneurs.
