South University Online is the distance learning program for South University. South University was initially founded as Draughon’s Practical Business College in 1899 in Savannah, Georgia. Since its inception, South University has gone from a two-year college to a university offering four-year degree programs. South University currently has eight campuses in South Carolina, Alabama, Michigan, Virginia, Georgia and Florida.

South University offers the following Bachelor’s degree programs online: Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, Nursing, Psychology and Health Science.
The online Master’s degree programs include Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems & Technology, Leadership, Nursing and Public Administration. South University also offers a limited number of Associate’s degree programs online including Legal and Paralegal Studies.
The Campus Common is a feature specific to South University Online, where interaction between faculty and students take place through the online classroom. There are four quarters in the online program that consist of two 5 ½ -week sessions. This schedule allows students to complete their degrees on an accelerated schedule.
