Regis University

Regis University was originally founded in 1877 as Las Vegas College in New Mexico. In 1887, the Denver, Colorado campus was established by Jesuit missionaries from Italy. The original Denver campus was named Sacred Heart College until it became Regis College, and then Regis University in 1991. Regis has seven campuses located throughout Colorado and one campus in Nevada.

Regis now consists of three academic colleges:  the College for Professional Studies, Regis College and Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professionals. For students interested in applied psychology, Regis offers a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Psychology through the School of Humanities & Social Sciences. The degree is not offered online but can be taken in accelerated five and eight week terms. 

Related certificates are also available in Psychology of Violence and Practical Psychology. Students pursuing a degree in psychology can expect a foundation in Research Methods and Statistics for Social Sciences, Life Span Development, Psychology of Personality and Biological Basis of Behavior.         

Regis University offers an accredited distance learning program for busy adults. Regis University College for Professional Studies offers dozens of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business, computer sciences, social sciences, counseling and education. There are six terms to choose from throughout the year that contain accelerated five and eight week courses. There are 100% online options as well as a blended form of classroom and online courses.
