Kendall College

Kendall College was founded in 1934 by two seminaries and was initially named Evanston Collegiate Institute. The school was sponsored by a Scandinavian Conference of the Methodist Church. The purpose of the college was to provide a two-year college education to students who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Kendall is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The school offers programs through the School of Culinary Arts including a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management. Kendall School of Culinary Arts was named one of the top 10 culinary schools in the U.S. There is also a business programs available along with education degrees offered through the School of Education. 

For those interested in the field of psychology, the School of Business offers a degree program. The B.A. in Business with a Concentration in Psychology offers students an understanding of human behavior in the working environment. Some of the topics that the course covers include Theories of Personality, Social Psychology, Educational Psychology, Motivation, Consumer Behavior, Abnormal Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Psychology of Business and Industry, Diversity in the Workplace and Introduction to Sociology.

Kendall College offers weekend and online program options for working students with a busy lifestyle. There is also an option that combines online coursework with classroom instruction. The classroom instruction takes place approximately one Saturday a month. With this option, courses may be taken either full or part-time and degrees can be earned in as little as two years. The B.A. in Business and the B.A. in Hospitality Management programs offer the weekend and online option.
