Hesser College
Hesser College was founded in 1900 in Manchester, New Hampshire as Hesser Business College. It is a for-profit college owned by Kaplan, Inc. Hesser is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, with five locations throughout southern New Hampshire in Concord, Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth and Salem.

Hesser College offers Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in the fields of early childhood education, criminal justice, general studies, business and various art programs. Hesser maintains flexible course schedules so working students are able to attend classes. Hesser also offers an online program through Kaplan University.
For students seeking a degree in the field of psychology, Hesser College offers undergraduate degrees in psychology. An Associate’s and Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology are offered through the Arts and Sciences Department.
Hesser College offers on-campus living. The Residence Life staff work closely with students in order to ensure the best living situations. Hesser’s online school, known as Kaplan University, offers several degrees including an Advance Start Bachelor’s in Psychology as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in applied behavioral analysis, child development and substance abuse. The online Master’s of Science in Psychology has specializations in addictions, applied behavioral analysis and general psychology.
Kaplan’s online program allows students to take classes anywhere at any time. Not only are lessons online but there are web field trips as well as communication with other online students and faculty. Communications are delivered via e-mail and message boards.
Students can also remotely access library resources through Salmon Library, a university library that offers remote users access to books, periodicals, microform collections, online databases, specialized reference tools and access to U.S. government publications.
