CTS Canadian Career College was founded in 1984 as an independent technology services company. CTS is currently an accredited private career college that offers accelerated programs leading to careers in specific fields such as health, business and law. There are three campuses located in Barrie, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario.

At CTS, work placements are embedded into the diploma programs and provide students with the real life experiences that employers are seeking. These work placement programs last from 4 to 16 weeks and can lead to future employment opportunities for students. The faculty at CTS understands the unique position that busy students are facing today and work with students for successful outcomes. The programs vary in length but do not exceed more than a year.
For those seeking a degree in the field of psychology, the closest match is an Addictions Intervention Counseling Diploma program. This program covers group counseling techniques, basic psychology, and relapse prevention and intervention. Students who successfully complete this degree program can expect to be prepared for jobs in correctional facilities, group homes, emergency shelters and mental health centers.
In the Health Sciences Department there are also programs of study including Community Services Worker, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Office Administrator, Paramedic, Personal Support Worker and Pharmacy Assistant. The Pharmacy Technician program was awarded the status of Provisional Accreditation by the Canadian Council of Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs. There are also program offerings in the fields of business, law and justice, and technology fields.
CTS College also offers training for corporations through their Corporate Training Division. Some of CTS’s workplace enrichment programs offer training in areas such as life skills, business services and computer skills. Some offerings include budget and time management, web browser management, introduction to computers, accounting and customer service. CTS can customize courseware specific to staff needs.
