Cardinal Stritch consists of two regional campuses as well as several satellite offices. Courses are offered throughout the state of Wisconsin. The main campus is located in suburban Milwaukee, north of Milwaukee’s city limits. Cardinal Stritch University is the largest Franciscan institution of higher education in North America, with a student body of nearly 10,000 students.

The mission of Cardinal Stritch University is to “transform lives through value-centered education”. The university works to achieve this by nurturing a lifelong commitment to personal development and spiritual growth in their students.

Cardinal Stritch is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. The university also holds six additional accreditations and offers over 60 fields of study.  For those seeking a degree in psychology, an undergraduate degree is available. Through the Arts and Sciences Department, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology is available.

There are some distance learning degrees, certificates and courses available at Cardinal Stritch. This allows more flexibility for students who don’t live near campus or don’t fit the mold of a traditional student. Currently there are no degrees available online for students interested in psychology. The university also gives credit for Prior Learning to some students who qualify. Some programs that apply include national testing programs such as CLEP exams and DANTES, professional training portfolios and experiential learning essays.

Stritch is a close knit community with a student/faculty ratio of 16 to 1. There are 98 full-time faculty members that include Fulbright and Rhodes Scholars. Several hundred adjunct faculty members also ensure students receive a quality education at Cardinal Stritch University.
